For this challenge I decided to create a healthy meal that was not only affordable but also delicious and gluten free. The meal I decided on was a “Summer Salad,” and the ingredients I used were strawberries, variety of apples, iceberg lettuce, gluten free brown rice and quinoa penne, garbanzo beans, and shredded Monterey Jack cheese. All of these foods are associated with MyPlate as each ingredient falls into the grain, fruit, vegetable, protein and dairy food groups. The poster is black and has a picture of each ingredient used in the summer salad.
